With reference to the letters of 31st March and 27th May 1865, addressed to you by my predecessor, Mr Mellish, as Manager of this Branch, and your replies thereto, Nos 200, of 11th April and 1379 of the 27th May, respecting the registration of this Bank under the Colonial Ordinance No 8 of 1865 : I am informed that the provisions of Ordinance in question will not allow of such registration being carried out, the Bank being already registered under the Imperial Limited Liability Act.
